"We are happy to announce that International Beads Biennale 2024 will be held in Hiroshima, Japan, for the purpose of contributing to the development and prosperity of glass beads cultures." - Beads Biennale Executive Committee

Starman is proud to be an official sponsor of the International Beads Biennale for 2024. Since 2013, this international competition—the Bead Art Festival of the World—aims to bring recognition to bead artists from around the globe. Beads and beaded art have been a part of human civilization since ancient times and the International Beads Biennale is a celebration of their impact and beauty.

The theme for 2024 is "Beauty, Love and Peace" with two categories of submission: Wearable Art and Artwork. Designs must be made of at least 30% glass beads. Winning pieces will be exhibited in Tokyo, Japan, in September 2024 and in Hiroshima in November 2024, with the award ceremony taking place in Hiroshima (travel expenses not included). In addition to international recognition, the Grand Prize winner will also receive $300,000 JPY (~$2,076 USD). An additional winner will be chosen for special recognition by Starman and receive the Starman Award title.
